MAGMA-SeriesAll these Magma models feature high quality cast iron headstocks and tailstocks as standard. The Magma 2 and Magma 3 models have face-milled cast iron lathe beds and tool rest saddles. This guarantees very smooth action of the tool rest saddle and tailstock. The Magma 1 has a massive steel, face-ground bed. Quick release mechanisms make everything easy to operate.
Lathe Magma 1 Description:Sturdy lathe with 600 mm between centres. Cast iron headstock and tailstock with a bed of massive, milled tubular steel. The legs are constructed so they can be filled with sand. The rotating headstock represents a further feature of this machine. This makes it possible to turn large-diameter work pieces. Quick release mechanisms for tool rest and tailstock. A 300 mm wide tool rest, hand wheel and hollow mandrel MT2, 15 mm in diameter are standard equipment. The Magma 1 model has 5 speeds. The Magma 1S has variable speed from 100 up to 3000 rpm with a frequency converter.
